Can You Believe Its Super Bowl Weekend Again?

Yes its that time of year again. Super Bowl Weekend.  Is everyone planning parties or family get togethers?  The time of year once again when drinks, food and fun flow every which way and the commercials can be just as good as the game itself.

Normally everyone will be scarfing down chicken wings, hamburgers, chips, dips, guac, and the assortment of beverages, but what else is there to eat...

Business Insider had a fun article of Seattle & Denver themed foods and drinks for the party.  Do you agree with any of them?

The LA Times has an incredible list to select from and definitely has some mouth watering specials.

What are you doing for the Super Bowl?  Any special recipes that you only do during the Super Bowl?  What team is everyone rooting for?

Great New Listing at 208 Case

Every looks like they got hammered in different places across the state.  From treacherous roads to teachers and students stuck at schools.  We know because we received a few calls from friends and family, letting us know they were at the schools taking care of the kids and had meals from the lunch rooms.  So we're thankful that everyone is being taken care of.  Let's try and shake off this cold, snow, and ice looming around us and get back to positives.  After all this frigid weather is only temporary.

What's New in Huntsville?

Several good news stories out so lets get right to it.

UAH opened their brand new student center Charger Union to great ceremony yesterday including cutting the blue ribbon.  The 90,000 sqft, $25 million dollar building is just another one of the items on the master plan for UAH construction moving forward.  As UAH continues with construction, it eyes a more traditional campus feel.

A new indoor trampoline park will open Apr 1 on University Drive called Shakalaka.  Included will be open trampoline field, trampoline dodgeball stadium, and a first for Alabama: a Ninja Warrior Aerial Obstacle Course (yes just like the ones you see on tv). With trampoline parks all over the country, the developer hopes this will serve the greater Huntsville community.

And lastly, it looks like the cold, frigid weather has retreated for the near future.  This weekend is forecasting rain and temperatures back to the upper 50's, so let's enjoy that while its here.

New Year and keeping the eyes on a few of the new schools

Well the New Year of 2014 is now in full swing.  Short post before the heavy work begins.  For the most part, the team is very positive on how this year will go in the local real estate market.

We will expect home prices to climb slowly higher.  New Construction will continue to open new subdivisions and continue to grow.  We hope a property's days on market will decrease.

Although its winter its an excellent time to put a house on the market.  People who are serious have first dibs on the home, and then the build up into the usual springtime rush begins and everyone then begins looking.

We will also be keeping sharp eyes over the course of the year on the rebuilding of Whitesburg Elementary & Middle into the Whitesburg P-8 over Fern Bell Park and the rebuilding of Grissom High School to the West of  Sams in South Huntsville.  They've released the Whitesburg P-8 drawing as seen above, but we're still waiting on the release of the new Grissom drawing.  We'll keep you up to date on that one.  However, if everyone remembers they have designated the old space when Grissom moves.

So we'll alert you to any changes we see or hear about.  Have a great New Year!
