Google Fiber & Lumber Liquidators

Its been a rainy and wet start to the week. But there's been some important news to come out. Great news for the city of Huntsville and some informational awareness for everyone to take note of.



First Huntsville has been selected as the next city in Google Fiber's implementation. The press release from the city of Huntsville can be found here. This is great news for a city that's always on the edge of technological advancement. Also Huntsville will be the first city to have constructed its own fiber network. The other story is about Lumber Liquidators. In the past they were in the news concerning formaldehyde. This report from the CDC builds off that report and notes that Chinese made laminate does have a higher risk of causing cancer. Huntsville named on Best Mid-sized Cities to Move to Make a Living



Once again, Huntsville has landed on a Best Of list. This time the list is Best Mid-sized Cities to Move to Make a Living. This list was put out by MoneyGeek.com. This list places Huntsville at #3. Also included on the list: #8 Cincinnati, #10 Raleigh, and #13 Minneapolis. Their rankings for Mid Sized cities includes some cities outside of the normal Census Bureau's definition for Mid Sized, which is less than 250,000 people. With these Best of lists, Huntsville continues to affirm is place as a wonderful place to live.

Huntsville, Alabama claims another accolade

Huntsville, Alabama has another feather in its cap after Livability made Huntsville its #1 pick for Most Affordable Place to Live for 2016. Huntsville outpaced Provo, UT; Bismarck, ND; and Rochester, MN. Huntsville has held its place in many of Livability's best places lists.
