On August 21, 2017 it will be known as the Great American Eclipse as the eclipse cuts a swath from the northwestern states to the southeastern states. A few cities that will experience totality are Salem, Oregon; Lincoln, Nebraska; Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee, and Columbia, South Carolina.
