Reminder - Eclipse a few days away

Just a quick reminder that the Eclipse is only a few days away. It will be on Monday August 21st. Jason Simpson and Ben Smith of WHNT say that "Partial solar eclipse begins approximately at 12pm, peaks shortly before 1:30pm, and ends approximately at 3pm. " Local time.  Remember NOT to look directly into the sun as it may cause permanent eye injuries.

Reminder - Eclipse Next Month on August 21, 2017

On August 21, 2017 the US will experience a solar eclipse. As written in the previous eclipse post, Huntsville will experience 97% obscurity, just outside the Path of Totality. Additional eclipse information can be found at Space.com and NASA's website. Both are providing a wide array of information about the event as well as timing and locations. Be sure to check them out and see all the information they have.

Reminder Aug 21, 2017 - Eclipse

On August 21, 2017 it will be known as the Great American Eclipse as the eclipse cuts a swath from the northwestern states to the southeastern states. A few cities that will experience totality are Salem, Oregon; Lincoln, Nebraska; Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee, and Columbia, South Carolina. Here in Huntsville, Alabama, the WHNT article states that the sun will be 97% obscure. Here are a few links on time and duration of the eclipse for those in Huntsville. Here and Here. We will try to put out another reminder about the eclipse next month around the same time.
