Huntsville's Athletic Club Alabama has been selected to host the United States Tennis Association Girls 16 Clay Court Tennis National Championship for two years. This will bring female tennis stars from across the United States to Huntsville.

The Constellation development off of Heart of Huntsville Drive in Downtown Huntsville has been given the green light by the Huntsville City Council. The 12 acre development will be a mixed use space consisting of apartments, retail, office space, and restaurants.

Baseball coming back to Huntsville Metro Area?

If all the articles are to be believed, yes a minor league baseball team could be moving in during the 2019 season. Its new location by all reports is in Madison at Town Madison. Additional information can be found at AL.com and WAFF. Both have been reporting on the ongoing sale of the Mobile Bay Bears to new ownership.  The Huntsville metro area has not had a baseball team since the 2014 season when the Huntsville Stars moved to Biloxi and became the Biloxi Shuckers.
