Huntsville in Top 5 of New Tech List - 3/8/19

Just a quick post today about a new list that came out. Huntsville has always been great about showing off its accolades. This time the list comes from 24/7 Wallst.  The list is called 15 Cities with the Most High Tech Jobs. 

5. Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina
4. Boulder, Colorado
3. Huntsville, Alabama
2. San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, California
1. California-Lexington Park, Maryland

This is an amazing list for Huntsville to showcase its high tech status among its peers.

Reminder - Eclipse Next Month on August 21, 2017

On August 21, 2017 the US will experience a solar eclipse. As written in the previous eclipse post, Huntsville will experience 97% obscurity, just outside the Path of Totality. Additional eclipse information can be found at Space.com and NASA's website. Both are providing a wide array of information about the event as well as timing and locations. Be sure to check them out and see all the information they have.

Huntsville on 2 More Best Cities List

Huntsville is right near the top of two more lists that have come out recently.

One is Best Places in the South for Computer Programmers.  Huntsville ended up at #2 on that list right behind Melbourne-Palm Bay, Florida.  Also above both Atlanta and Dallas.

The other list came out earlier is the Top Metro Areas for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) graduates.  In this one, Huntsville came in at #3 under San Jose, CA, & Washington DC/Arlington/Alexandria Metro, but still above San Francisco, Boulder, Seattle, and Boston.

As more of these lists come out, we will continue to publish these to show what an excellent place the Huntsville Metro Ares is to live!
